The best TV brand in the Lifestory Research 2022 America's Most Trusted® Television Study Samsung is the most trusted brand among the most popular television brands as judged by consumers.  This is the third year in a row (2022, 2021, & 2020) in which consumers in the America's Most Trusted® Television Study identified Samsung as the most trusted tv brand.

As America's Most Trusted Television brand, Samsung obtained a Net Trust Quotient Score of 124.0 and earned the 5 Star Trust Rating among people actively shopping for television for their homes.  The annual study examines trust among customers actively shopping for television for their homes.  The 2022 ranking is from 7,312 randomly selected people surveyed between January and December in the United States.

Brands included in the final ranking were nationally recognized by people actively shopping for television for their homes. To be considered, brands needed to receive enough survey responses to achieve a 95% confidence level with no more than a 3% margin of error. If a brand had a low brand awareness and did not have enough brand judgments, these brands were excluded from the brand rankings.

WHAT ARE THE MOST TRUSTED BRANDS IN AMERICA?

The television study investigates the questions asked when people are shopping. What are the best television brands? Which brands of television do people recommend? Which television brand can you trust?  What is the quality of different television brands?

The television brands shoppers are most familiar with within the United States are Samsung, Sony, LG Electronics, Panasonic, Toshiba, Sharp, Vizio, and Hitachi.  The Lifestory Research America's Most Trusted® Study rankings are based on the Net Trust Index Quotient Score of television brands. Scores are standardized across more than 500 brands and product segments included in the study and then rank-ordered within each product segment.

The most recognized television brands are among the nationally-ranked brands evaluated in the study. This approach provides insight into how brands are seen within the television product category in which they operate and examine brands across industries. The America's Most Trusted® Study calculates the trust people have across 50 product categories from Home Builders to HVAC Systems to Tools to Kitchen Appliances. In addition, people taking the survey are asked their opinions of trust, quality, word-of-mouth, the likelihood of recommending to others, and several other brand equity questions. 

Trust is measured with the Lifestory Research Net Trust Quotient Score, in which consumers evaluate each television brand. The trust score is formulated based on how thousands of people consider brands in the study.  Study participants' responses are classified and defined by three levels of consumer trust: Trust Advocates, Trust Neutral, and Trust Antagonists.  A Trust Advocate expresses significant trust in a brand, whereas a Trust Antagonist vocalizes distrust. 

The Lifestory Research America's Most Trusted® Television Study explores shopper perceptions of television and examines how each shopping event and brand encounter impacts customers' overall value perceptions of the television brand. In addition, the study addresses television shopper reviews and summarizes net promoter, quality reviews, purchase intent, and a variety of other metrics. The study also identifies critical service standards that drive higher customer experiences and the bottom line. 

An index score of 100 is average for all television brands included in the study. A top #1 rank represents the television brand that generated the highest Net Trust Quotient Score within the product category. To determine the Lifestory Research 2022 America's Most Trusted® Television, the trust ratings for the most recognized brands were computed. The television brands that were most recognized in the study were Samsung, Sony, LG Electronics, Panasonic, Toshiba, Sharp, Vizio, and Hitachi.

People taking the survey provide their opinions and experiences with those brands they have considered when considering a purchase. For example, if people have the knowledge and a view of a television brand, they are then asked questions that range from television trust to television brand reputation to television quality.
