WHAT IS AMERICA’S MOST TRUSTED TELEVISION BRAND?

2023 Best Television

Television remains a popular form in which people watch traditional media and programs.  Televisions are also used to display online content, access streaming services, and play games.  A visit to an electronic retailer demonstrates the abundance of choices regarding televisions.  Televisions are segmented by the different technologies that produce images, the size, and the clarity generated.  Because there are many television manufacturers, research shows that the television’s brand name is often used to reduce the complexity of making a choice.  That is, the brand is a clearinghouse that directs the consumer’s decision toward a specific product line offered by their preferred brand.  Given the importance of brand, what is the most trusted television brand?

2023 America’s Most Trusted Study

Founded more than a decade ago, Lifestory Research's America's Most Trusted® study examines how customers make decisions based on trust. Social and opinion science research practices that adhere to the highest quality standards are used in this research to provide consumer-driven data insights.

Our annual studies involve over 50 surveys in which we assess thousands of people about their perceptions and experiences with different brands. Once a year, we reveal which brands consumers trust the most. How brands and companies differentiate themselves from their competitors and peers is by their level of trust.

According to the Net Trust Index Quotient Score, is calculated based on three levels of consumer trust: Trust Advocates, Trust Neutrals, and Trust Antagonists. Brands that receive the highest Net Trust Index Quotient Score are the most trusted among consumers in the product research study. Trust Advocates express significant trust in a brand, while Trust Antagonists.

2023 America’s Most Trusted Television

The Lifestory Research 2023 America’s Most Trusted® Television Study found Samsung as the most trusted brand among people considering the purchase of a television. With a Net Trust Quotient Score of 122.5, Samsung had the highest trust rating among the most popular televisions.

The most trusted television brands, in order, were Samsung, Sony, LG Electronics, Panasonic, Vizio, Toshiba, Sharp, and Hitachi. Samsung received the best reviews and trust ratings among the most popular television brands as judged by consumers.

The Lifestory Research 2023 America’s Most Trusted® Television ranking is based on 4,648 opinions of people surveyed between January and December in the United States.  Brands included in the final ranking were nationally recognized by people actively shopping for a television. Trust reflects how people rank the quality of television brands.  Trust is also critical in customer satisfaction ratings of television brands.

If a television brand had a low brand awareness and did not have enough brand judgments, these brands were excluded from the rankings.  To be considered, brands needed to receive enough survey responses to achieve a 95% confidence level with no more than a 3% margin of error.  See the survey methodology and frequently asked questions for details.
