2023 America’s Most Trusted Study

The America's Most Trusted® study was established more than a decade ago to understand better how trust influences customer behavior. This research seeks to provide consumer-driven data insights using social and opinion science research methods that adhere to the highest quality standards.

Approximately 50 studies are conducted annually in which we capture people’s opinions and experiences with brands, and once a year, we share insights on which brands consumers trust most. To distinguish themselves from their competitors and peers, brands and companies must demonstrate their trustworthiness.

According to the Net Trust Index Quotient Score, the rankings are based on three levels of consumer trust: Trust Advocates, Trust Neutrals, and Trust Antagonists. In the product research study, brands with the highest Net Trust Index Quotient Score are the most trusted brands by consumers. Trust Advocates express significant trust in a brand, whereas Trust Antagonists voice distrust. See the survey methodology and frequently asked questions for details.

2023 America’s Most Trusted Window

The Lifestory Research 2023 America’s Most Trusted® Window Study found Andersen as the most trusted brand among people considering the purchase of a window. With the Net Trust Quotient Score of 119.7, Andersen had the highest trust rating among the most popular window brands.

The most trusted window brands, in order, were Andersen, Pella, Milgard, JELD-WEN, Weather Shield, Marvin, and Ply Gem.  Andersen received the best reviews and trust ratings among the most popular window brands as judged by consumers.

The Lifestory Research 2023 America’s Most Trusted® Window ranking is based on 2,968 opinions of people surveyed between January and December in the United States.  Brands included in the final ranking were nationally recognized by people actively shopping for a window.

If a window brand had a low brand awareness and did not have enough brand judgments, these brands were excluded from the rankings.  For brands to qualify and be included in the national ratings, the number of survey responses needed to exceed a 95% confidence level with a margin of error less than 3%.

Here we share the list of top window brands ranked in the 2023 America’s Most Trusted® study.
