The Lifestory Research America’s Most Trusted® Study, in its fifth year, awards companies that provide services or products to customers in their home. Brands currently awarded the designation of America’s Most Trusted® in the kitchen include: Refrigerators, Dishwashers, and Cooktops. The 2017 America’s Most Trusted® Dishwasher Appliance Brand is Whirlpool
The 2017 America’s Most Trusted® Cooktop Appliance Brand is General Electric
Consumer opinions are collected over the course of the prior 12 months throughout the United States. To qualify to participate in the study, participants must have indicated that they were aware of specific brands. The study collects opinions of more than 20 brands in each kitchen category, however, only the top 5 most trusted brands are included in the published results. The number of people evaluating each category in the 2017 study included 9,683 among refrigerator brands, 9,615 among the dishwasher brands, and 8,950 among the cooktop brands.
Trust is measured through the Lifestory Research Net Trust Quotient Score in which each brand is evaluated in regards to trust. An index score of 100 is average for all brands included in the study.
