The 2024 America’s Most Trusted Study

Since it was launched more than a decade ago, America's Most Trusted® has helped brands understand the impact of trust on buying decisions. Consumer trust plays an important role in business success and is understood by successful brands. With updated results published every year in January, the study has become a definitive ranking of brand trust.

The term "brand trust" refers to a customer's belief in a brand's ability to meet its obligations. Building brand trust with customers is crucial to ensuring their continued loyalty. Customers are more likely to purchase and recommend a brand that they trust when they trust it. In addition to building customer loyalty, brand trust helps to build customer loyalty as customers are more likely to remain loyal to the brand they trust.

We have shared the most recent America's Most Trusted® study results each year since Lifestory Research began conducting the study. Thousands of people are surveyed on their perceptions and experiences with over 75 products yearly. In this study, we evaluate how much people trust specific brands when shopping for a specific product based on the Net Trust Quotient Score.

Net Trust Quotient Scores (NTQS) measure customers' trust in specific brands within a particular category. The measure provides information on whether a product meets customer expectations compared to competitor products. This trust metric seeks to provide consumer-driven data insights using social and opinion science research practices that use the highest quality consumer research standards.

What are the top internet router brands people trust the most?

Lifestory Research derives its ratings, reviews, and awards from comprehensive survey feedback gathered from participants in the Internet router study. In assessing the most trusted Internet router brands, we intentionally exclude third-party reviews, editorial committees, or input from industry professionals. Instead, our approach is centered on individuals' genuine opinions and trust ratings, adhering to strict social scientific survey standards. Our survey samples are thoughtfully designed to mirror the sentiments of our target audience, ensuring a representative reflection of real people's perspectives. All findings in Internet router research exclusively rest on the independent opinions of survey participants within the framework of America's Most Trusted Research program.

2024 America’s Most Trusted Internet Router Brand

The Lifestory Research 2024 America’s Most Trusted® Internet Router Study found Netgear to be the most trusted brand among people considering the purchase of a router. With the Net Trust Quotient Score of 107.4, Netgear had the highest trust rating among the most popular router brands.

Netgear, Linksys, TP-Link, D-Link, ASUS, Arris, Nest, MSI, eero, and Acer were the most trusted internet router brands. Netgear received the best reviews and trust ratings among the most popular internet router brands as evaluated by consumers.

The Lifestory Research 2024 America’s Most Trusted® Internet Router ranking is based on 4,363 opinions of people surveyed in the United States over the last 12 months. Brands included in the final ranking were nationally recognized by people actively shopping for a home router. Trust is a direct measure of how people rank the quality of internet router brands, review and evaluate the quality of router brands, and report customer satisfaction with specific router brands.

A brand's low awareness and insufficient evaluative data determined exclusion from the rankings. To qualify, brands needed to accumulate enough survey responses to attain a 95% confidence level with no more than a 3% margin of error. This statistical rigor is central to the accuracy and representativeness of the surveyed population's opinions concerning the brands analyzed.
