RANKED: 2024 AMERICA’S MOST TRUSTED LAMINATE, VINYL & WOOD FLOORING BRAND

What is the Best Laminate, Vinyl & Wood Flooring Brands?

Laminate, vinyl, and wood flooring represent three distinct yet popular options in the realm of home flooring. Laminate flooring is engineered with a multi-layered composition, typically featuring a high-resolution wood grain or stone image, and sealed under a protective layer. This provides a cost-effective alternative to hardwood, offering impressive durability and resistance to scratches and moisture. Vinyl flooring, on the other hand, is a versatile choice, available in a wide range of styles and patterns, including wood, stone, and tile imitations. Its water-resistant properties make it an ideal choice for kitchens and bathrooms. Wood flooring, a classic and timeless option, exudes natural warmth and character. It's available in various species, each with unique grain patterns, and can be refinished to extend its lifespan. While it requires more maintenance compared to laminate or vinyl, the authenticity and enduring appeal of natural wood flooring remain unparalleled.

Ultimately, the choice between laminate, vinyl, and wood flooring hinges on budget, lifestyle, and aesthetic preferences, offering homeowners a range of versatile options to suit their specific needs. As people shop for flooring, they are also influenced by the product's brand name.

The 2024 America’s Most Trusted Study

Inaugurated over a decade ago, the America’s Most Trusted® study was instigated to give brands invaluable insights into the intricate interplay of trust in consumer purchasing behavior. Perceptive brands understand that consumer trust directly impacts business outcomes. This study has solidified its status as the authoritative measure for evaluating brand trust, eagerly awaited each year, with refreshed results published in January.

Developing brand trust with customers is essential to ensuring that they return to a flooring brand. It is based on their confidence that the brand can fulfill its promises. Customers are more likely to purchase or recommend a flooring brand if they trust it. Brand trust can also build customer loyalty because customers are more likely to remain loyal to a flooring brand they trust.

Every year, Lifestory Research shares the results of the America's Most Trusted® study. The survey we conduct every year involves surveying thousands of people about their perceptions of and experiences with different brands. While shopping for specific products, like flooring, people are surveyed to determine how much they trust brands. Our Net Trust Quotient Score is validated for this study.

Net Trust Quotient Scores (NTQS) are used to determine whether a laminate, vinyl, and wood flooring product meets customer expectations compared to competing brands within a specific product category by assessing the level of trust customers hold for a particular brand in a specific product category. With this trust metric, consumer-driven insights are provided using social and opinion science research practices that adhere to the highest standards of consumer research.

What are the top flooring brands people trust the most? This question was answered by asking thousands of consumers what they believe are the most trusted flooring brands.

2024 America’s Most Trusted Laminate, Vinyl & Wood Flooring

The Lifestory Research 2024 America’s Most Trusted® Laminate, Vinyl & Wood Flooring Study found Armstrong to be the most trusted brand among people considering the purchase of laminate, vinyl, or wood flooring. With the Net Trust Quotient Score of 109.4, Armstrong had the highest trust rating among the most popular flooring brands. This is the fourth-year consumers rated Armstrong as the most trusted in the America’s Most Trusted® study.

The Lifestory Research 2024 America’s Most Trusted® Laminate, Vinyl & Wood Flooring ranking is based on 3,671 opinions of people surveyed in the United States over the last 12 months. Armstrong, Pergo, Andersen, Mohawk, Bruce, Shaw, Mannington, Tarkett, and Congoleum were the most trusted laminate, vinyl, and wood flooring brands. Brands included in the final ranking were nationally recognized by people actively shopping for laminate, vinyl, or wood flooring.

To be included in the final ranking, flooring brands must have a certain level of brand awareness. Based on the study's criteria, flooring brands with low brand awareness were excluded from the rankings. Brands must have received enough survey responses to achieve a 95% confidence level with no more than a 3% margin of error to be included in the final ranking of the flooring study. This confidence level is necessary to ensure that the survey results accurately reflect the opinions of the surveyed population. The sample size must also be large enough to ensure the validity of the survey results. Therefore, the study excluded flooring brands that did not meet this condition.
